December 2008
December saw the successful completion of the Water Jetting Association course for all employees including management. As mentioned in our November news, we would publish the results of the exams for all.
It was a tense time for the managers sitting round the table as the results were announced but we are glad to report a 100% result for all involved in the exams.
Our next move is to gain NVQ level 2 for all staff in high pressure water jetting.
We remained busy throughout December and were involved in a number of emergency callouts throughout the holiday period proving we really are a 365 day service provider to the local community.
With increased activity comes a requirement for increases in "office based back up staff" to support the workforce on the road; with this in mind we have a new clerical member of staff starting with us in January. In preparation, a major rearrangement of offices, desks and cupboards took place, with walls being knocked down and redesigned layouts meant that for the last two weeks in December nobody could find anything and when they did it was buried under thick dust and rubble!
